We are having 4 Housing Ceremonies on 3 different days. Confusing? Don't worry, we have an easy way to remember them: Engine 8 ceremony will be on March 8 (8 on 8!) Engine 2 and Ladder 2 will be on March 22 (2 and 2 on 22!) And Engine 12 will be on the...uhm...15th.

NEW Durham Fire Department Rescue Company 1 (R1) went in service just a few minutes ago! Great news for our City, our Department, and the brave officers and members of R1. This unit is far more capable than our current one and will provide much better service to those in danger.

Congrats to the Senior Member, Fire Driver Grey Holloman, of the Durham Fire Department for an incredible and inspirational career! He only did 39 years...and I think they were all on busy companies! Godspeed Grey in your next chapter!
