Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Kateri Tekakwitha. An Algonquin-Mohawk laywoman, she is the patroness of Indigenous Americans and the environment. Known as the Lily of the Mohawks, she was the first Native American saint to be canonized. Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, pray for us.
