In the middle of tirelessly working to get our schools open for a pandemic this past summer I had to leave social media behind. I am happy to say that I am finally back and looking forward to engaging with those who are 100% committed to kids first. Let's do this!

Our educational practices should not be grounded in tradition; they should be grounded in what the research says is best for students. This is the difference between a job and a profession.

This is my why. I want every kid, no matter what, to have the same opportunities as these two. Every young person I've ever worked with deserves this and more. My mission is that we can reach all kids through unconditional love and education. Keep working friends! We can do this!

Many of us think of this image when we think about the holiday break. Many of our kiddos are concerned about food, heat, somewhere to sleep, or even just peace in their day. I'm thinking of all the kiddos in my community, and just wishing them hope. We love you kids, see you soon

“The irony of shifting our grading mindsets is that teachers will do less grading. As teachers emphasize practice, they can begin to empower a culture of learning that finally sheds the practice of harvesting points." -Tom Schimmer ➡️ bit.ly/3lG2HF0

Lucky to educate kiddos, content comes separate. I got into this to inspire, encourage, and lift children up. I'm certified to teach math, but I'm passionate about the effects of unconditional love and what kids can do. Math was just the vehicle. Let's crush 2021 friends.

I haven't posted in a long time. Watching College Football GameDay at an HBCU game is one of the most refreshing and optimistic things I have seen in a while. Thank you to ESPN for giving us something that represents what we should be celebrating.

His teacher taught him grit. He persevered through the pandemic. His teacher focused on the heart before the mind. He passed his first reading SOL. His teacher taught him grit, he cut three minutes off his two mile in one week. Touch the heart before the mind. AnneNeville Broaddus

Having a great start to the day with my Greene County Public Schools colleagues. We are finally talking about innovation and celebrating the positives. Thanks @dintersmith for encouraging us to create a #moonshotmoment to break through all of the negative. #VALIN #VAis4Learners

After taking the ultimate beatdown since March of 2020, I needed this start of #VALIN Cohort 3. Already feeling more energized and positive about what we can do to create the #moonshotmoment for our schools. #VAis4Learners
