A fantastic evening at Black Lodge Brewery’s Pizza Palooza - some stunning pale cask and pizza to match.
Some Scandinavian baking this morning, ready for tonight’s Eurovision Song Contest. I did weigh up if removing seeds from 40 cardomom podsat 7.30 was really worth it, but can confirm it absolutely was.
A fantastic box from Chapter Brewing and Brewser, tinged with sadness. They’ve been integral in living and drinking in Merseyside: from takeovers at The Firkin, early pick ups at CatHop Beers and that celery sour. And Ten Lonely Seconds. And Le Petit Mort. Thank you.
Two cask hype beers, and absolutely worth the hype too. Verdant Brewing Co 🍻 - Lightbulb Thornbridge Brewery - Jaipur Noir Perfect kept and served by the faithful The Firkin beer wizards.
Another fantastic Manchestercraftbeerfestival: ✅ Great beer ✅ Great company ✅ No ill effects this morning North Brewing Co’s Shadow Boxer and Siren Craft Brew’s Death by CCC two of many highlights.
Quality bottle share with Nik and @feebrob this afternoon. Very difficult to pick a highlight! Top tier beers from Wander Beyond Brewing, Tartarus Beers, Pomona Island, Williams Bros. Brewing Co., Broaden & Build and Thornbridge Brewery.
Fantastic trip back home to Three Hills Brewing in Thrapston. Hard to believe that I used to work here 15 years ago in a DVD rental shop - now it’s a thriving high street with an incredible brewery on its doorstep.
Maximo Park on top form once again last night in Manchester. I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve seen them live, but still as incredible as ever. Maximo Park Paul Smith
A little late to posting, but The Firkin now have a nitro tap. Repeat. A nitro tap. In Newton-le-Willows. Stuff dreams are made of.
Cracking brew day. Thought I’d have a go at one of my favourite styles, the Irish extra stout. Should have something around 6.5% in a few weeks time. Thanks to Get 'er Brewed’s super speedy malt delivery and Malt Miller’s brilliant brew kettle. Super easy brew day.
