VERY disappointed in my new town.
Had the once-yearly Big Town Hall Meeting tonight. Most town business is taken care of on this night.
In a town of 20,000 people, 38 were in person and 11 were watching online.

Jennifer Sparks aka JCherry Brookfield Democrats Brookfield Voters I 'get' the concept.
But in the bottom-floor retail there are no bakeries, green grocers, or hardware stores. Nail salons & restaurants abound.
Still car-dependent. Still have to drive 5 miles to Shoprite.
Stony Hill Rd in Bethel is exactly the same, from exit 8 east 4-5 mi.

Berkshire Patriot Brookfield Democrats Brookfield Voters Used to live in MA in a town of 8,000 w/same town meeting style, once a year, & we'd have 3,000 at least.
Big buildup, poster contests at school, every address mailed copy of agenda, bake sale night of, etc.
Talk of town, water cooler, grocery for 2 wks ahead.
We loved it.

Aaron Zimmer for State Representative for 107th Governor Ned Lamont Aaron spot on. Paid leave is such a hot button issue but people donโ€™t seem to understand the nuances. Accrued Paid Time Off is not the same as Paid Sick Leave. Same loophole with paid maternity leave where you need to have that time banked for you to use it.
