Today during Science my fifth graders were making observations on our Science lab about sugar and water and whether it would separate if the water was left to evaporate. They were so intrigued by their findings that now they want to try the same lab with tea bags! Ami J Engel
Students made their own models to demonstrate their understanding of revolution vs rotation and then explained to the class. Ami J Engel
More student created models of revolution vs rotation. Loved that students included the four seasons and even used a flashlight to represent the sun and its impact on the concept. Ami J Engel
Fifth grades learning about the Earth's tilt and intensity of sun during the four seasons. Thanks Mrs.WeirDsClass to her math brain for helping me create the flashlight and protractor tool! I was determined to make this work. Ami J Engel
Marshmellows have an important role in Science. Love that some of my fifth graders challeneged themselves and did atoms in the 4th row! They had to use bigger mats. Ami J Engel
Enjoyed having Mrs.WeirDsClass come coteach in my class today about 3reads! You gave my class such great advice!
Today students tested cleaning compounds to see what would be the best cleaner to use and yesterday built visual models of compounds! Love watching their understanding grow through experience. Ami J Engel
