Our juvenile red-crowned crane recently received a vet exam & a routine vaccination from Dr. Sykes in the Northern Ponds habitat. Keeper Eadaoin held the bird while Collection Manager Kevin assisted. Other keepers kept watch on the parents until the youngster was returned home.

Savor the final days of summer break with a visit to the African Plains habitat to see giraffes, zebras, lions, and other savanna species. You might even hear our lions before you see them. Their roar can be heard up to five miles away!
