I understand completely that I’m saying this as it’s the era of football I grew up with, and people in 15-20 years will be talking about current day like it was the best.
But football back then did feel like it had a different feeling to it. Everything feels too polished now.
What a lot of people fail to realize about Steven Gerrard is he could be amongst Xavi and Iniesta in terms of talent and ability for midfielders, but he chose loyalty over money, legacy, and fame. That’s why he will always be Liverpool’s skipper.

Yo, wrap this shit up. I realize Gerrard is THE benchmark for everyone to compare their guy to bcuz he was THAT guy, but Rice is not in the same stratosphere as Gerrard. There are many things Rice comes up short in, but the simplest one is your guy simply can’t move like this.
