Year 1 and 2 art is really coming together

For International Women's Day, some of our pupils have been inspired by female artists around the world, and shared their work with other schools from around the First Federation Trust. These Year 5 children were inspired by Frieda Kahlo and Thandiwe Muriu.

We have loved our #NoOutsiders lessons this week and have learned important lessons about equality and diversity.

Children have enjoyed a range of Coronation activities this week. We have learned about democracy and the role of the King and have planned what to include in new time capsules to be buried. 6B collaborated together on a group portrait.

It's Mental Health Awareness Week coming up. 'Health for Kids' provides information for primary school aged children and includes games, videos and quizzes. The feelings section has some positive messages and fun activities.

We are grateful to the sideshore project at the sea front, who taught our Year 3 children about marine biology and looking after our oceans. We invented our own clothing labels and they helped us print them onto t-shirts!

Year 6 are very excited to be performing in the brand new theatre at Exmouth Community College next week!
