If you are wondering about the B&N effect on middle grade, we've sold half as many hardcovers of an MG author's third book as her previous two though the third received more starred reviews and is very much of a piece with the previous two. It's difficult to replace their support

I read the Comics Beat article, and I personally disagree with how WT contracts were characterized and how negotiations, as well as what’s standard, was described.

But that’s just my two cents. I do agree that whenever possible, professional help with these contracts is best!
