There are reports of Green Tree Frogs (Litoria caerulea) dying around the #Sydney area at the moment. ๐Ÿ˜ข Please contact me if you've seen any dead #frogs recently - it's not a good sign & we need to understand how widespread this is and what is causing it. #WildOz ABC Sydney

What a great example of a bettongs semi-prehensile tail in action! Thanks for sharing Anna MacDonald! The eastern #bettong is one of the species reintroduced MFGO Woodland Exp (and they're part of the focus of my phd) and its so cool to see what they get up to. #ecology #ScienceTwitter

Biodiversity losses tend to be under-reported, especially for invertebrates. ๐Ÿ“‰ ๐Ÿ With the help of ALA data, @JamesDoreyPhoto and colleagues are changing that. Their study of 553 Aussie bee species post-fire found 11 are now eligible for the IUCN Red List. bit.ly/3acf4VK

How amazing are these New Holland Mice?! They're one of many #AussieMammals that you may not have heard of - some people don't even know that Aus has #native #rodents! Great project being run by Kiarrah Smith๐Ÿ & the MFGO Woodland Exp for this #ThreatenedSpecies. Science at ANU The Australian Mammal Society

My paper is out! We show that it can take a couple of generations for a multi-source #reintroduction to achieve admixture, and recommend that this be taken into consideration for #ConGen analyses. MFGO Woodland Exp ANU Fenner School Science at ANU. Thanks to my co-authors and the #bettong.

Hands up if you think Alpine She-oak Skinks are the cutest little grass dwelling squamates. Iโ€™ll just go ahead and assume you all raised your hands. #WildOz

Led by Maldwyn John Evans (orcid.org/0000-0001-7025โ€ฆ), our new paper's out! We discuss why it's important to focus on mitigating threatening processes, and how the future is "coexistence conservation"! Glad to be a part of this through the MFGO Woodland Exp. doi.org/10.1111/csp2.1โ€ฆ

We've gained a lot of knowledge from landmark case studies. Now, it's time to apply this knowledge to threatened species around the world, and expand the number of taxa and threat levels on which our reintroduction knowledge is based on. ANU Fenner School Science at ANU UniTokyo

New research by Kiarrah Smith๐Ÿ is hot off the presses! It's a scary world out there if you're a small, vulnerable species, but this paper shows that with a #MiniSafeHaven, it can be possible for them to thrive in a challenging landscape. #WomenInSTEM Science at ANU
