On 12 April 1955 Dr. Jonas Salk’s #polio vaccine was officially proven effective after a large clinical trial evaluating nearly 2M children. It worked & was safe. Immediately, the govt had the vaccine produced by 6x licensed pharma companies & distributed to children across USA
