“This sort of draconian law is just not acceptable to the people” Serra Sippel told Sasha Abramsky of The Nation. “The majority of people do support people having access to abortion care & don’t want government restricting their rights to bodily autonomy.” thenation.com/article/politi…
Just before #Dobbs , Arizona was providing nearly 1,500 abortions per month. After Dobbs, lack of clarity in the law led to a sudden drop. The monthly count increased over time but never back to pre-Dobbs levels. Soon these counts will drop to ~0.

Abortion is still available in Arizona. We’ll see what happens over the next two weeks. But in the meantime, you can do your part and support the local abortion funds Abortion Fund of Arizona, Tucson Abortion Support Collective, and Indigenous Women Rising all at once.

Last year The Brigid Alliance helped 195+ Floridians travel out of state for abortion care. Average travel cost = $3000 & average distance traveled per person= 1800 miles roundtrip. Brigid will keep getting people to their abortion care, no matter what. 💚thehill.com/policy/healthc…
Florida is seeing dueling efforts to both ban abortion and enshrine the right to abortion into the State Constitution. In 2023 The Brigid Alliance helped 195 Floridians travel out of state for abortion care. Brigid is ready to double down on support for abortion seekers everywhere💚
Abortion restrictions & anti-trans laws force many folks to spend 100s or 1000s of dollars in childcare & travel costs. The Brigid Alliance & @southernequal are supporting their community, but as this piece points out, “This isn’t a long-term solution” ⬇ ️bit.ly/3vqkYkz
