The House voted 354-60 to demand President Trump reverse course in Syria. Senator McConnell: Put the bill on the Senate floor. There's no better way to pressure the President to undo his damaging, dangerous actions. The lives of Kurds—and our national security—are at stake.

What’s the deal with heart disease, diabetes, and #COVID19? This has been in the news in part because Tom Hanks, who has COVID, also has diabetes. #COVID19Med 1/x

We have to be careful when asking yes/no Qs to patients. Do you want to continue? Do you want dialysis? In order to answer those, you need to be able to comprehend the context you are in. It's not fair just to ask these questions to someone who is not clear-minded.

Why mandates? Because of situations like this – I doubt this teacher wanted to infect half of her class or thought she was putting them in danger. But she did and she was. It must not be allowed.

From November through February, wood smoke from the 1.4 million fireplaces and woodstoves in the Bay Area is the #1 source of air pollution, contributing about one-third of the harmful fine particulate pollution in the air. Consider a cleaner way to heat your home this winter!

I've interviewed a lot of health-care workers over the last two years, at various points of the pandemic. Here's something you should bear in mind as you read these stories (and their first-hand accounts) about what they're experiencing. 1/ theatlantic.com/health/archive…
