Yesterday and today, UCU and Unite the union: join a union members at Imperial College were on strike over poverty pay and impossible workloads. A 2% pay offer while sitting on £2bn in reserves. Pay down 9% since 2018. This is exactly why we ballot. #WeAreTheUniversity #UCU

I travelled on an Education International trip to Palestine. But we never got there. We were detained for 5+ hours, grilled and refused entry by Israeli forces. It was intimidating and a violation of our rights. It is nothing compared to what Palestinians go through every day under occupation.
