It is definitely misleading to call the moderation of what books are appropriate to be in schools "book banning." People upset about this are the same people who fought to have Dr. Seuss books removed from publication - which is actually a book ban!

Rural hospitals are critical to North Carolina, & access to care is non-negotiable. But hospital funding is complex—govt covers building costs, hospitals enjoy tax exemptions, & they receive insurance payments, Medicare, Medicaid, & patient fees. Yet, we still see high bills for

The narrative is way out of focus on this issue. Not counting the districts' local contributions, the state is sending over $250,000 per classroom of 20 students. This money gets filtered out from the top down, leaving a pittance for the real work being done by our teachers. This

This illustrates our divide. We're all paying for government programs and projects one way or another—whether it's through our federal taxes, state taxes, local taxes, or even inflation, which makes our money worth less over time. Let me give you an example: Think about the

This trope should be called out at every turn. It's a lie. The recent bill passed into law has plenty of flaws, but cutting taxes for billionaires is not in it. This bill maintains the status quo on most taxes, but limits on taxes on tips & on some overtime pay, not billionaires.

This is just another example of the ignorance some people have of the science of economics: Businesses rely on customers for revenue, with debt or equity as mere liquidity schemes. In Duke’s monopoly, speculation looms—if a $2.5B (e.g., 1,000 MW) project overruns 102% (as seen

In the eyes of an authoritarian, anything they don't control needs their vision of order. I guess we can't expect much from a govt that still thinks it should monopolize the alcohol market. I thought we learned our lesson from the failures of Prohibition. 🤷🏼‍♂️

The Trump Economy grew by 1.2%, with inflation shrinking by .7%. The Milei Economy grew by 6.4%, with inflation decreasing by 80%. Trump 2.0 has added to the debt of the US. Milei has decreased the debt in Argentina. Javier Milei’s libertarianism beats Trump populism.

Communism is not a new idea. It is the oldest. It is the primitive doctrine of the tribe. The belief that the individual exists to serve the group, that wealth belongs to all, and that need is a moral claim. It is the system of the witch doctor and the warlord, of forced labor,

"Politely asked?" It was a straight up violation of the first amendment under threat of imprisonment – including surfers in the ocean. Next, you'll call the Boston Massacre a gentle request to disarm! Remember what 1776 was all about! Happy 250, y'all!
