Tonight didn't show you could grapple. The opposite actually. But your athleticism is elite and showing you can carry your athleticism/cardio through three rounds against a high-paced opponent was very impressive.

Hilarious that the key to Onama winning was his defensive grappling being so bad that he got put in dominant positions like 12 times, allowing him to explode and reverse out 🤣

Llontop was giving up takedowns and his back to half of the Peruvian regional scene, so not terribly surprised Padilla had some early chances. Think Llontop would have eventually gotten to him but if you have zero ground game you’ll always get exposed eventually at this level.
