Elected officials should have their salaries tied to the average wage earner of their region. Canada is about to face a lot of difficulty and will require us all to make sacrifices. Let the "highly qualified" people walk if they can't do that. We don't elect based on merit anyway

This week we had a fantastic conversation with a local Albertan who has been politically active and offering a lot of commentary through her popular Tik Tok Account Knitty Knits. #cdnpoli #canadavotes2025 #CanadaElection #Alberta #NewBrunswick

This week we had a chance to go through some polling numbers, attempted to answer the question "do candidates matter", and pointed to the trail of 3rd party carnage that Mark Carney is leaving in his path over the past 2 weeks. 1/2 #nbpoli #CanadaElection2025 Pierre Poilievre

It was a conversation we didn't think we were going to get but I'm sure glad we did! if you want to hear candidly from a Liberal candidate, this might be one of your only chances. Conservatives have turned us down flat and only one Liberal has stepped up. 2 weeks left! #cdnpoli

This discussion with Greg Marquis was thoroughly enjoyable. We've been saying on our pod for 2 years in various ways that NBs growth obsessions are one of a kind in approach and the outcomes have been dismal. As we head to Election day, how will this convo proceed? #nbpoli

We've got two pods to post this week! We recorded this last week with our good friends Teri McMackin and Shawn Rouse and we broke down the federal election through an #Nbpoli lens. Great chat with lots of great New Brunswick-specific content from #Canadavotes2025

Next week will enter into the 2nd round of deliberations over the Lorneville Industrial Park considerations. This is a transparent accounting of how I’m thinking, why I’ve supported the Industrial initiatives before, and what principles are guiding me now. brentharris4sj.ca/op-eds/lornevi…

Always love doing the recap podcast following Federation of Canadian Municipalities Conferences. This is our 3rd time recapping the country's largest elected officials conference event, and my, how the times have changed. Give it a listen or look for it next week on ROGERS tv NB

It's been a long time but we are finally able to discuss the Spruce Lake Industrial park conversation in SJ and how it became the longest public process in NB planning history. We look at the need for new industrial options for our province and the concerns of the public. 1/2

It was promised in 2018, 2020, and 2024. No one in government has ever once pitched a solution, demonstrated competency about the topic, or committed to a process with a definite outcome. Asking the public how to fix a complex issue is just another kick of the can down the road

After a few weeks off for summer break we are back for a pod on national projects and how it may impact things for us in NB.

Raising the level of discussion, awareness and engagement on politics in NB is what our show is devoted to. Outrage is easy; change is hard. Change happens when we pry open the doors of opportunities that are available, not when we beat on walls. Year 3, here we come! #nbpoli

Another chat on our housing system in New Brunswick, this time we dive deeper into someone who is intricately involved and committed to growing our community housing stock from 4% to 20%: Peter Corbyn. Peter is the ED of the NB Non-profit Housing Association and a close friend.

Joanna & I were thrilled to be joined by Mat Whynott and Jordan Leichnitz 🇨🇦 on our pod last week. I continue to learn so much from these political guests and leaders and try to bring that learning to nuance our politics here in NB and beyond. Give it a listen and weigh in! #nbpoli
