We had two VIPs visiting Luxembourg today: The Pope…and Navdeep Chandel! 🤩 While the Pope was impressive, we had to go with Nav’s talk LIH_Luxembourg. His deep dive into mitochondria as the immune system’s regulatory hub was simply divine! 🙌🧬 ! Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) European ImmunoMetabolism Network

Our lab LIH_Luxembourg had another fantastic retreat with Karsten Hiller's group TU Braunschweig at Fortress Ehrenbreitstein Ehrenbreitstein, GER! Once again, great science, collaboration, and fun with friends! Excited to continue exploring together in 2025!

Honored to have had the chance to organize the 30th Anniversary ECDO Meeting together with Michael Heneka in Luxembourg Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine! Amazing community, inspiring science! It was fantastic to catch up with the field! Big thanks to all speakers & everyone who contributed!

And after listening caspases discoverer Prof. Junying Yuan and former colleague Wei Xie talks, we say goodbye to Luxemburg with new ideas and contacts to be made!!!! Thanks Brenner Lab for such a great conference!!! #ECDO24

Ready for #DC2024Barcelona? We have ahead of us 4 fascinating days to share new data & discussions and to boost basic & translational research on #dendriticcells 25 top🌍speakers, 46 short talks, 200 posters, >300 attendees! support by SEInmunología Societat Catalana d'Immunologia European Macrophage & Dendritic Cell Society

Stellar moments in immunology: Celebrating 40 years since Tak Mak & Mark Davis discovered the T cell receptor with legends like Jim Allison, Carl June, Philip Greenberg, & our Mak Lab. This breakthrough reshaped science & patient treatment—why no Nobel prize yet? The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences

A fantastic day celebrating the 40th anniversary of the discovery of the TCR. Check out this T cell speaker photo which includes co-discoverers Tak Mak and Mark Davis. Thanks University of Toronto, Temerty Medicine, UofT Immunology, The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation for your support.

Many thanks to @DavidFinlayTCD and SimonO’Shaughnessy for highlighting our study, and to Immunometabolism for showcasing this work! Exciting to see oxidative stress in gut Th17 cells inspiring further discussions!

Check out our latest work, hot off the press Molecular Cell

Supported by European ImmunoMetabolism Network, ImmunoMetNet, BSI Immunometabolism, Immunometabolism Network International Immunometabolism Society, European Immunometabolism Society and others working on immunometabolism, the aim of the Immunometabolism journal Immunometabolism is to further grow and to become THE go-to journal in this exciting field

Excited to share our latest review: "Navigating the metabolic landscape of regulatory T cells: from autoimmune diseases to tumor microenvironments". Great work by my PhD students Janika Härm & Yu-Tong Fan LIH_Luxembourg. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Just back from an amazing CANBIO2 retreat! Proud that my PhD student Sarah Alhamouieh won the Best Talk Prize, awarded by: Jorge Moscat & Maria Teresa Diaz-Meco Conde (Cornell) & Thomas Helleday (Karolinska). Great science, discussions&networking!Huge thanks to the organizers!

Check out the comments of Professors Dirk Brenner Brenner Lab and Bart Everts Everts Lab on this paper "Blocking lactate: kick T cells when they are down" journals.lww.com/immunometaboli… Welcome to read!

New Cell Metabolism Spotlight written by our lab! How do macrophages recycle what they eat? We highlight the study by Lesbats et al. showing how phagocytosed bacteria fuel host metabolism Read the Spotlight: sciencedirect.com/science/articl… The great article: nature.com/articles/s4158…
