Here’s some food for thought from Matt Randolph. It should be noted that nationalisation itself is not cost free without using expropriation, but in principle Matt makes a very good point. The same applies to healthcare which would likely cost half as much as it does. 🎥 TikTok

I wonder how many IPAS centres have been inspected by local authorities in Ireland. Planning exemption granted, for which fire safety is paramount, could mean no follow up checks. ground.news/article/swiss-…

Remember the panic late last year when there was a remote possibility of a Russian military aircraft coming close to Irish airspace? It wasn’t our neutrality they were worried about.

This is frankly plain treasonous, even by the EU's extremely low standards. The EU is not willing to refute Trump's statement that "the EU needs us to have Greenland and they know that". x.com/BestForBritain…

Today is the anniversary of Oíche na Gaoithe Móire - the Night of the Big Wind, 1839, the worst natural disaster in Irish history. Did the terror and the psychological damage of the night feed into the language-shift in Ireland? Grateful for retweets!👍 irishlanguagematters.com/oiche-na-gaoit…

Agree this is a strong statement. 👇 The aim must be to convince Washington that it has no need to possess Greenland & that seizing it would have severe repercussions.

One of the things about Ireland is that we live in a small country. Family always mattered, they were big & everybody knew relatives & extended generations. My parents always holidayed in Ireland, stayed in B&B. Invariably he would find a connection regardless of remoteness.

If there was one thing I could change about our education system, particularly at Primary level, it would be a greater emphasis on our (Irish) history. We are who we are, shaped by our history, our independence stemmed from a revolutionary revival of history, language & culture

Anyone surprised that the message coming from America is that no one was killed in this “operation”? They weren’t the right colour or nationality so they don’t count. ground.news/article/honor-…

With this surplus of €3.8 billion the government decided to increase the price of fuel and tolls. It also decided to charge up to €50 a month for blister packs. And the cherry on top? They took €1400 off the disabled community. When they show you they don't care, believe them

Was there a man dismayed? Not though the soldier knew    Someone had blundered.    Theirs not to make reply,    Theirs not to reason why,    Theirs but to do and die. History repeats itself. Victoria Cross was first awarded for the Crimea war with several Irish recipients

The United States is in NATO, Denmark is in NATO therefore Greenland is protected by NATO. So why would the United States want Greenland? Same answer as to why Europe is in a massive rearming campaign. The United States is leaving NATO

Brendan Byrne (@brenbyrn2) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Trump; “The EU needs us (United States) to have Greenland & they (EU) know that”. Journalist asked the EU to address this point. The stumbling around answering this implies there is more to this than can be publicly stated. Potential consequences for Europe are very serious.

David as one of her ardent detractors would be first in line to criticise her if she did speak out about Trump illegal actions in Venezuela or his proposed annexation of Greenland. Fine Gael has always been quick to defend Orange over Green domestically so why not internationally

If the colour of her attackers skin was irrelevant then why make an issue about the fact her attacker was black. But it’s important to note that this is a two way street. The caller was a virtue signalling arsehole. I deplore racism in all its forms & had no time for Gay Byrne

Donald Trump says about the United States of America “we don’t want to be the world’s policeman”. Why is anyone surprised that he’s turned the US into the world’s biggest rogue state then?
