I stand by the crews! American crews are the best in the world. They make us look like geniuses. Often without a moment to sit down for a meal or rest on 16 hour days. If a strike is necessary to garner respect in the workplace then so be it. IATSE // #IASolidarity SAG-AFTRA

Another showrunner here to tell you that without IATSE, my writing would only ever be words on a page. This industry exists because of these hardworking crews, and they deserve a living wage, better working conditions, and everything else they are asking for. #IASolidarity

The thing that has shocked me the most about the IATSE conversation right now is the fact that Netflix/Hulu/Amazon etc are still considered “new media” and thus not subject to the same wage minimums or regulations. What year is it?? How??

Quick #IATSE story: 2 days before wrap on the worst tv season I ever worked on, I received a ginormous gourmet wine and cheese basket in the middle of a work day. It wasn’t from an EP. It obviously wasn’t from the studio. It was from the script supervisor.

I stand with IATSE in your fight for safe working conditions and fair pay. We can’t tell stories without you.

When a collection of mega-corporations tries to claim they cannot provide all film and tv workers with basic human necessities like time to sleep, meal breaks, and living wages:

No one should work so many hours day in and day out that they fall asleep at the wheel and crash on their way home. Yet, we are aware of at least two workers that suffered through exactly that, just in the past few weeks. #ReasonableRest is an urgent occupational safety issue.
