I have operated over 300 patients since the start of my residency program. All patients must pay or their insurances cut for the service offered . Either theatre, wards and clinics. We create revenue for the big hospitals . All WITH NO PAY. #DoctorsStrikeKE

If there are people who deserve to be paid, ni residents bana. These people put in crazy hours to run these referral hospitals.They have to balance work, classes, and family. It is a shame they get paid nothing in Kenya. All other countries pay them even UG.

Yes its a norm. 8:pm-8: am night shifts , while you work during the day to try to pay school fees and basic sustainance… because residents are not paid

Our healthcare system is broken, it really needs a fixing. Medical residency without pay is a great injustice
