8:07 A.M. Friday: Steady snow retreated just a hair south around 3 A.M., and has remained across Boone, Eastern Kanawha, Fayette and Nicholas Counties for hours. As the crow flies, Charleston was about 10 miles away from having more persistent snow into the morning hours.
