Hmm.. not all this useful to me, but 7, 8, 9, 10 ring very true. And 13, although 'death mask' sounds more ominous than it should.

As I'm about to write the conclusions to a 'big' book, 11 reminds me that I need to leave my study and sit somewhere with a view over the Loch.

It was in Glasgow that I saw for the first time the meaning of international solidarity. Glasgow City Council was one of the first to twin with cities in the West Bank & Glasgow University set up its first scholarship for victims Sabra/ Shatila massacre.

And note that at those (many) universities where cuts to temporary teaching positions are being made or considered, management are using/abusing an anti-causalisation discourse, as if they're doing everyone a favour by reducing numbers of temporary contracts
