Sitting watching the Grammys visualizing me being up there to receive mines. In multiple categories. God is good! It will happen!

It’s really getting scary how great I’m getting at writing hits. Like really good. Understanding song structure, beat selection, psychology of what the people will like, flows, pockets, and cadence. All while staying true to my art. The science of hit making is a real thing.

Also having an ear to be able to identify a hit is an art that I’m getting stronger at. I’m now able to hear other artist music and identify which record is the one to go with. My A & R skills are sharpening. If I ever tell you “you got you one”, I’m probably right!

Creative hack. I be on the move throughout the day so I don’t have time to sit down and write till nighttime. So I taught myself to write my hooks on the way to my meetings with the beat playing and I pen my verses that night. I can’t go a full day without listening to beats.

Sometimes b4 I grab the mic to hit the stage, or to public speak or when I’m giving my son some wisdom, I think about how I do my best to fill my papa shoes and I think I do it well but he died b4 I become a man to see it and that fucks with me.

And my grandmother was an evangelist. No matter how much I fight it, I find myself preaching or ministering to somebody in the trenches. She would be proud of me too. But I have a lot of real ppl in my corner that love me and I’m grateful for them. God is really good!

I’m proud of myself though! No woe is me! No pity party! Just hard work, dedication, keeping my face card clean, helping others when I can and trying to right all my wrongs cause I’m hard headed and stubborn and I’m not perfect. Keep growing Boxx!
