Wolves!!! The Wolves 45-point margin of victory the 6th biggest in NBA playoff history! 🎉🏀 Minneapolis Lakers hold the record of 58 in 1955-56. Denver Nuggets also won by 58 in 2008-2009.

Fascinating: Baldelli said last night he would keep playing Castro, but didn’t specify where. Today Castro’s at 3B while Manuel Margot, an actual outfielder, is in CF.

The outfield malaprops, shaky pitching and dead bats in this series suggest the one-sidedness of this “rivalry” isn’t quite over yet.

PWHL Minnesota ended the regular season with an 0-5 losing streak, getting outscored 19-7. That ballooned into an 0-7 skid when they went down 0-2 in the semifinals to Toronto.

Then they came home and won 2-0 and 1-0 (2OT) games.

Series is tied 2-2. Sports are the best.

Per :

Toronto’s 11 shots in regulation are the lowest in the PWHL this season.

Tonight was the first 1-0 game in PWHL history.

Maddie Rooney's shutout streak reaches 145:40.

That's two shutouts in a row for PWHL Minnesota goalie Maddie Rooney against the league's top team. Series tied 2-2, Game 5 Friday in Toronto.

Back-to-back shutouts by 2018 Olympic gold medalist Maddie Rooney of Andover to force a Game 5. Wow. Never saw this coming. PWHL Minnesota y - PWHL Toronto

BTW: Minnesota Twins hit .335 with RISP in the 16 games before the New York Yankees hit town. The last two nights, it's .000 (0-for-12). were shut out tonight for only second time all season (March 31 at KC the other), and will lose their first series since April 19-21 vs. Detroit.

Done: New York Yankees 4, Minnesota Twins 0. Aaron Judge four hits (HR, three 2Bs, two RBI) and Willi Castro two more misplays in CF as drop second straight after winning 17 of 20.

That was one spectacular backhand pick and bullet throw off the wrong foot by Carlos Correa for a DP here in the 9th. Again: Big difference from last year, now playing on two healthy feet. @twins

That was the first double play all season Carlos Correa has grounded into after leading the league with 30 a year ago.

A throw on the play AFTER Castro forgot the outs in the 2nd inning. Pretty good heave for a converted shortstop.

Fair to wonder if @twins might change their minds and bring Byron Buxton back from rehab a day early to play CF tomorrow afternoon. If not, Austin Martin's the better call over Willi Castro, who's been a disaster out there the last two nights. New York Yankees

Aaron Judge is 5th player ever to collect 4 extra-base hits in a game at Target Field: 3 doubles and a home run. (He hit them a total of 1,588 feet, too.) The others:

Nelson Cruz, 8/20/19 vs CWS
Francisco Lindor, Cle, 5/31/18
Brian Roberts, NYY, 7/4/14
David Lough, KC, 6/30/13

Another bad read by @twins CF Willi Castro, who took a step in on Aaron Judge's third 2B of the night. Castro had no chance going back as the ball sailed over his head, bringing Juan Soto home from second. New York Yankees 4-0 in the 7th.

Not the greatest outing for Pablo Lopez, who gave up three runs on eight hits the first three innings. But he allowed no more runs, and @twins mgr Rocco Baldelli finally pulled him one out into the seventh. New York Yankees still up 3-0.

Judge 3-for-3 with a HR and two doubles. He's now 22 for 59 (.373) with 7 HR, 5 doubles and 15 RBIs in his last 17 games. Indeed, the inane overreaction to his bad start to the season seems to have finally gone away. Mostly...
