On 21st December 2008, we lost Cpl Robert Deering. Corporal Robert Christopher Deering was born on 16 October 1975 in Solihull and joined the Royal Marines in March 1998. Specialising as a Vehicle Mechanic, he spent the majority of his career at the Commando Logistic Regiment

14 years ago today we lost Captain Tom Jennings. Tom, who was attached to the SBS, died after the vehicle he was travelling in struck an explosive device while on an operation to the south of Kabul. He was on his way with other officers to a meeting with Afghan informants.
