This #InternationalNursesDay we’d like to say thank you to everyone who has supported us in sending up-to-date medical books to help nurses offer the best possible level of care.📚
These books help nurses like Aaron who shares his story here ⤵️

This #internationaldayofthemidwife we'd like to share Ridwan's story with you.
Ridwan trained as a midwife at Edna Adan University Hospital in Somaliland, where she now teaches. When she was studying there weren't many books in the library and those they did have were very old.
Just one month to go until we'll be heading to Hay Festival where we'll be welcoming Elif Shafak and Priscilla Morris to talk with our Vice Patron, Lord Paul Boateng, about the role of libraries during and after conflict.
Hope to see you there! Book now: tinyurl.com/yc7cypcb
Books leaving and books arriving are things we love to see.
Thanks to Zambia library service for sharing these photos. We can’t wait to see these books reach their new homes and be enjoyed by readers.
Can you support us to send the next brand-new book? Donate now: bookaid.org/donate/
Every year we send over 1 million books to the places they’ll make the biggest difference.
The power of postcodes is helping us spread the power of reading. Thank you to People's Postcode Lottery players for their support.
