Am walking the Rota Vicentina Fisherman's Trail at present so, although I'll be there to start this week's #devonbookhour at 8 I'll leave you to it at 8.30 so I can go and get some dinner. Of course book talk is crucially important but...part of today's walk

Hello, Hola, Guten Tag, Bonjour, Oi - my mantra all day on the Fisherman's Trail in Portugal, though it seems that half of Germany is here. A young German woman in my hostel is a big reader so I asked what she was reading to start #devonbookhour Colleen Hoover's It Ends With Us

Loving Portugal and it's amazingly friendly people. I had a swim here earlier - keeping my eyes peeled for spider fish, which apparently stung badly at this time of year. #devonbookhour

A proud Portuguese woman recommended these writers to me - anyone read them? At least I think these are writers. She gave me.a separate list of wines, main courses and musicians 🤣 #devonbookhour

I'm yawning. Not sure whether to find food or go to bed🤣 Am certainly sleeping well. When I walked the Camino it took 6-8 days for my body to be properly up to the task so I've 2-4 to go. Here's hoping! #devonbookhour Have so many books on my phone. Not sure how many I'll read.

OK. Hungry tummy and need for strong legs tomorrow has won.so I'm off to find food. Please do carry on chatting amongst yourselves and I'll tune in again next Monday from somewhere in the Algarve #devonbookhour

Just seen thus. Not writers I'm familiar with so looking forward to reading more about them. Anyone read them? #devonbookhour

Devon Book Club All the women of 16th century Devon queuing up for me to tell their stories. I started with Walter Raleigh’s Mum - lots more interesting stories to tell.
