ABCtales I’m never going to be famous etc etc but it was nice to hear that my publisher has had to restock again as the books are flying out the office. ☺️ It’s thanks to word of mouth largely that that has happened.

Historians John Sadler and Beverley Palin will be at Book Corner tomorrow (Friday) from 11am-3pm. Come and chat to them about all things Viking and Anglo-Saxon! They'll be promoting John's latest history books, and they're even bringing a handling collection of artefacts.

Out in THREE MONTHS! My new novel, 'The Hometown Bookshop', is published on 21st August. Featuring bunting, coffee, a book group which is mainly interested in eating biscuits, and an amateur theatre company performing a play about a murder in a theatre company.

Mike Edwards Mike Edwards Writer will visit Book Corner on Saturday 14th June, 11am - 12.30pm, to sign copies of his debut novel #Riverskin. I can highly recommend Mike's beautiful book. It's set in and around the River Tees, and features our very own local water spirit, Peg Powler.

Speaking as someone who quite often goes to events on their own, I think this is an absolutely lovely idea. More stuff like this, please!
