Came home earlier to find two people looking very much like they were casing my building. They sure scarpered quickly when I got there.

Me to my doctors: I’m in excruciating pain with my shoulder. It’s stopping me doing basic tasks like getting dressed.
Doctor: we want you to see a physio please book an appointment.
Me booking appointment: next appointment is in 3 weeks time.
Really bloody helpful.

Multiple different painkillers haven’t touched my shoulder pain. Heat patches don’t work either. But the intense burning pain of putting deep heat on after a hot shower is causing enough of a distraction to my brain that it’s confused and it’s momentarily less painful.

I’ve been wracking my brain all day to try and figure out how I’ve managed to cause myself a really painful shoulder injury. Literally the only thing it might have been was changing the battery in the smoke detector.

I’m rewatching Torchwood: Children of Earth. After Covid and the mad politicians of the last few years it actually doesn’t seem dystopian. I would genuinely expect the UK government to pull the s**t the government in this did.

It’s very telling that when you look at the age break down on this result 60% of those who support it are in the 50-65 or 65+ age bracket. It’s not them or even their children who will be affected.

Just made the mistake of checking my student loan balance. Last year I paid close to £1000, the interest was £1400. Why is it such a ridiculous system?!

Just watched a documentary on Pompeii. Somewhere I have good knowledge of and I have even worked with some archaeological finds from there. However I had no idea they were still creating plaster casts.

My mum just accidentally FaceTimed me. But conveniently was out walking with her friend and their new puppy. So I just got a FaceTime from a puppy.

I was initially pleased to finally have a diagnosis for my symptoms. However, after investigating CFS I’m finding that it’s woefully under researched (due in part to it disproportionally affecting women) so my treatment options are basically a wet paper towel and witchcraft.

In the last two days I’ve received my 6 monthly bills for water supply and sewerage (different companies) both are almost double what they were 6 months ago. It’s borderline criminal that these companies want to increase our bills further.

I’m not sure if everywhere in the UK does this but, here if you’ve had a clear out and don’t have time/effort to go to the charity shop you just put stuff outside on your wall for people to help themselves to. Today I had 2 bags of bric-a-brac gone in less than an hour.

I’ve clearly been watching too many declutterring videos because I just threw away all my spare plant pots and my entire nail varnish collection.

Just had to explain to a grown man that he didn’t have a cervix so didn’t need to worry about getting it checked.
