This year’s covid restrictions prevent us from inviting families to school for our annual winter concerts, but problems can always be opportunities! This year we get to showcase our technology, facility and skills to record a show that families can enjoy at home #myCISB

We had book tastings at the #PYPlibrary over the past 2 weeks. Older grades loved exploring different genres, while the younger kids got to try out chapter books. The change of pace was refreshing and it was so interesting to see which books were the favourites #myCISB

Day 1 of the latest round of online learning. It's not the same without the kids here, but I got to see great things during library classes - lots of pets and plants after a story about garden ecosystems, families reading together, and a kid decked out in a dino costume #myCISB

#TeachingOnline can be tricky, but it did provide the perfect opportunity to play our own game show activity to celebrate homeroom teachers for #TeacherAppreciationWeek We all had a laugh seeing how well (or not) kids knew their teachers 😆 #myCISB #PYPLibrary

Early chapter books got their own shelf at the #PYPlibrary this week. It’s close to the entrance and some cozy chairs, inviting students to the perfect transition to immersive world of chapter books. We already have some adventurous readers diving in! #myCISB

We celebrated #DotDay2022 at #myCISB library with some inspired dot drawings by kindergarten. It’s amazing what you can see in a simple dot! Flowers, cars, space, thunder guitars… and many more

This week, G5 explored the G5 UOI #Libguide and #myCISB #VirtualLibrary to arm them for a year of learning, leading up to #PYPX We’re making sure that quality information is easily accessible to all of our learners

Grade ones are learning about how they apply rules and routines in their daily lives, and reflecting on their choices, so it was the perfect time to introduce them to Choose Your Own Adventure books. They were a hit! Who doesn’t love an interactive story? #myCISB #PYPlibrary
