Did you know? Bats are more closely related to primates than rodents! The oldest fossils (found in WY) are over 52M years old, and hint that bats evolved from tree-climbing animals who later learned to fly. That’s why the bones of their wing and our hand are so similar! 📷: NPS

Bats help forests grow by pollinating plants and spreading seeds. Next time you see a bat flying by you at night, know that they're spreading green growth, pollinating fruits like bananas & mangoes.  #BatWeek ow.ly/YfkX50GAn6e  📷 Tom Ingram/Adobe stock.
