It's hot and humid. I have grass to cut. It will be uncomfortable work. Yet if you don't have a home, or if your age and health keep you from doing the work, you would give anything just to cut your own grass in the sunshine 🌞 and humidity. That thought should work once more.

Anecdote on late MPP Carman McClelland. On E-Day 1987, I headed home from broomball practice, and was curious who won the Ontario election. I saw Carman's campaign office, and stopped in. Big Liberal victory, good food, nice people there. 16 years later, I was elected myself.

Just finished a comprehensive book by .Eswar Prasad called "The Future of Money." It is a great 'Where do we go from here?' book on the evolution of digital currencies, the waning of cash, and the many hazards of cryptocurrencies. Suggestion: put in an index of acronyms.

Got my 19th annual seasonal flu shot from Clare at Shoppers Drug Mart Brittany Glen. In all that time, I have never once got the seasonal flu! Even rare common colds are half as severe for half as long. Pharmacists say their flu shot supplies are short. Get your flu shot asap.

Farewell #HazelMcCallion. She leaves a legacy to admire rather than a passing to mourn. Every person who served our city: elected, employee or manager, was touched by Hazel's energy, vision and devotion to Mississauga. Hazel and Sam are together again.

Twitter spent 12 years building a brand image with a little singing bird. Seemed appropriate. Now that brand image is a weird, cultish-looking "X" set against a black background. Seems inappropriate. Small wonder that my interest in using this deteriorating platform is waning.

Not that long ago, getting one's COVID-19 booster meant booking an appointment. Last time I was in the drug store, the pharmacist looked up my history, saw that it was time for my booster, and asked if I wanted a Pfizer shot then and there. I did. Now I am up to date.
