Sad day for Tiger Nation. Yesterday we had to say goodbye to Reed Metzka. Reed was Springfield Tiger Basketball. He graduated in 1959, and was a member of the Tigers Top Ten squad that won the County Championsip. We have never had a bigger supporter of our program than Reed. RIP

Congrats to our “Summer-Spartans”. Great job by these guys in the month of June, showing dedication and hard work.

We wrapped up Day 3 of youth camp today. It was a great 3 days with lots of players and energy in the gym. Looking forward to seeing these young guys improve over the years.

Was an honor to have dinner with Coach Alan Burns tonight, BHS’s winningest boys hoops coach.

Learned more in a few hours than I could at any clinic.

Really proud of this 3rd grade group. We Finished our season today with a championship. Not only did they win (22-4…2 championships..two runner-ups in 4th grade tournaments) but they played the right way..hard and unselfish. #SpartanUp

Thank you to John Vargo and YSU Men's Basketball for allowing a couple of our youth teams into facilities tonight before and after the game. The kids had a blast and penguins looked really good.

Not the effort or result we are looking for. But it was great to see many future Spartans in the stands.
