Spoke this past week on career development: teaching and research statements at the Bill Anderson Fund workshop! Glad to be back with my BAF family.

Breaking: The Texas Senate gives final approval to Senate Bill 17 in a 19-12 vote. The bill proposes banning DEI offices + mandatory DEI statements and trainings in Texas public colleges and universities. It is *now* headed to the Texas House. #txlege

I really just be in these streets popping my academic ish with my friends 🤷🏾‍♀️ This year has brought the best collabs my way and I’m loving it 💞

It matters. And I said it before and I'll say it again. The way they treated our sis Dr. Sealy-Jefferson scrapped any plans I had to (re)join and be active. The way folks treat Black women are always the canary in the coal mine.

Last week I had the opportunity to return to my alma mater Spelman College for the Academic Institutions - Communities - Agencies Network Convening for Environmental Justice. So grateful to be in the presence of some EJ giants and working towards change in the Southeast Region.
