The weather conditions from Hurricane Helene are expected to worsen overnight throughout our service territory. There is potential for heavy rain and high winds, which could result in power outages. We will be actively monitoring the storm, and crews will be ready to respond.

*****UPDATE***** (10:30 PM) ...TORNADO WARNING IS CANCELLED FOR BEAUFORT COUNTY... The storm which prompted the warning has moved out of the area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 AM EDT Friday for a portion of southeast SC.

Palmetto Bluff tornado has been confirmed.
