Roll up! Roll up! It's the BPA Goose Fair! Year 1 had a fantastic start to the term by visiting the BPA Goose Fair. It was full of fun games, Hook-a-Duck and even pop corn from the pop corn machine! In the afternoon the children tasted hot dogs and mushy peas!

The Ducklings’ art work, from their recent learning, is now being proudly displayed in Nursery. We certainly have learned a lot about the seasons changing and what happens in autumn, the work of Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama and the festival of Diwali.

Year 3 have started their computing unit of programming using Scratch. Today, they made a plan of what action their Sprite would complete and then tested out their plan to see if it was successful or whether they needed to debug any issues.

This week in Nursery, the Ducklings have been learning about fireworks and how they are used as part of lots of celebrations. We watched a video of a firework display and the children talked about what colours they could see and what sounds they could hear!

It was wonderful to have our children back in school today. There was a great buzz around the school as many children engaged in their launch activities for their new themes. It was a pleasure to see so many happy, smiley faces! #ArchwayAttendance #Belonging #Inclusion

Today, children in Year 6 have been looking at a new unit in computing all about handling data. After collecting some data of their own, they inputted it into Excel. Some went onto experimenting with how to change font, colour and even representing their data using graphs!

The children kicked off their learning about Earth and Space this week by exploring an augmented reality 3D model of our planet. They also used their imagination to build a 'rocket' out of a cardboard box.
