A parallel to the life-altering nature of Silmarils can be found in a semi-legendary chronicle of Javanese kings, which features a cursed blade that left deaths and calamities in its wake, just like Silmarils.

Mainland SEA spirit houses sure are eye catching, but have you seen Maritime SEA ones? Look at these Philippine spirit houses from the past!

I plan to have plenty of these in Tenggelar, where ppl would put offerings there to appease Semangat Padi and other local spirits :D

Thai 'spirit houses' with offerings are built near houses, businesses, and fields to appease surrounding spirits, known for being unpredictable. They offer prosperity and luck, but also calamity or ill luck when disrespected.

My take on theme of 'fairies'. 1/4

Ketupat can also mean laku papat or four deeds: Lebaran ('opening the door for forgiveness'), Luberan ('generously giving'), Leburan ('washing away sins through repentance'), and Laburan ('cleansing').

I ask your forgiveness for anything I've done that hurts you. Eid Mubarak 💚

A calligraphy in Jawi script that says 'Selamat Hari Lebaran' (Eid Mubarak). The shape is ketupat, steamed rice cake wrapped in diamond-shaped woven coconut leaves. In Javanese language expression, ketupat is 'ngaku lepat' or 'admitting mistakes' (and asking for forgiveness).

The image of simbelmynë growing in abundance in the Barrowfield of the Kings of Rohan left a strong impression in me. My reflection on these flowers and how they relate to the graveyard flowering trees of my home. Trewsday Tuesday

Jasmine wreaths in Javanese wedding have different meanings based on placements. On hair, they symbolize pure love and sincerity. On bridal blade (keris manten), they depict warrior's intestines wrapped around a weapon, symbol of wisdom alongside courage.
