IAN HAPP COMES THROUGH! LET'S GO!

He may have saved the game with his outfield assist in the 9th and he just opened it up in the 10th!

HUGE! CUBS ARE UP 5-1.

Can't blow saves.
Have to score more than one run.
It's not either or, it's both.

Cubs scored one (9th inning garbage) run yesterday, too. Like what are you expecting to win with that?

Another game where we're yelling about when to pull the starter, who should come in from bullpen, which reliever messed up etc all because the offense can't score more than a single run.

Every pitching decision is gonna be magnified when they have to be perfect every night.

Hector Neris was two strikes away from saving the game and ending the Cubs FIVE GAME LOSING STREAK, but a walk, a balk, and an RBI single(double?) and the game is tied.

Just incredible. This team has to be better. Simply has to be better.

Cubs had the equivalent of a leadoff double, and then had the bases loaded with two outs, but they came up with ZERO runs.

Onto the bottom of the 9th. 1-0.

I was wondering when a team would pinch hit a righty vs Leiter. Smart thing to do ... BUT HE GOT HIM ANYWAY.

Onto the ninth.

Would it kill you, Cubs, to score one extra run right now?

Ben Brown is coming out.

Is it the right call strategically? Probably.
Is it the best thing for his health and development? Yes.

But it sucks and I hate it and I don't have to like it or be logical about it. We have had nothing to root for. Sigh.

Better hold this.
