Twitter for Android : My derrière having been subjected to about three hours of IET standard class seating over the last two days, I've taken the plunge for the upgrade back to London. It's a good business model I'll say that much.

Twitter for Android : I bailed at Taunton and caught the service behind that starts there. I'm in no rush and on flexible tickets so it's only right for someone else to have my space. Now nice and comfortable and enjoying a GWR Castle set properly.

Twitter for Android : 'No-one will travel by train after covid' a line you've heard many times from those who would rather see roads built. Tell that to the passengers of the 0650 Penzance-Cardiff today, full and standing.

Twitter for Android : At least there's still proper trains to be had....off to Bristol shortly, 20 minutes late, not to worry it shortens an hour long connection there!

Twitter for Android : Morning all from Plymouth where it has to be said Great Western Railway have messed up my plans for the morning to head to Newquay or Gunnislake. Not fun. A quick replan and I'm off back to do some bits and pieces around Exeter and Bristol, Cornwall will have to wait.

Twitter for Android : Final stretch for today, Exeter-Plymouth on what I like to call a 'missed opportunity'. Legroom is great, they go like someone sat spare being told to go home but by God why is there not any seat padding. Spoils the whole thing. We can only hope for a fix...

Twitter Web App : Grant Shapps just told me in Parliament that he wasn't taking risks with safety in HGV driver tests. A quarter of deaths involving lorries are from reversing. How can it possibly be sensible to remove reversing and loading from driver tests?

Twitter Web App : I'll never forget seeing all the names. 20 years doesn't quite feel possible. As ever, all of my thoughts go to those who where there and those who lost their loved ones.
