Warning has just been ended for Ottawa. Most of us dodged a bullet there.

Looking down on the Ottawa River. A much cooler weather pattern has arrived. Showers around this morning then cloudy with a 30% chance of showers. High only 13°. Wind NW ⬆️ 30-50. Breezy & cool o/night. Low 5°. A mix of sun & cloud Mon. & a breezy 14°. Remaining cool this week.

Lilac blooms are coming out now. One benefit of this cool weather (other than less mosquitoes ) is that anything blooming will last a lot longer. It’s a cool 5° now. High only 13° (normal high is 21°). Generally cloudy and windy. NNW 25-50. Low 6°. Similar story tomorrow.

Two pics of my backyard yesterday & one week ago. Despite the recent chill, the leaves have really come out. No signs of warmth. It’s a chilly 2° now. High in the low teens with skies becoming generally cloudy. Wind N 15-30+. Low 9°. Chance of some pm showers Wed & mid teens.

Apple blooms. In about 4 months, these will become delicious apples 🍎 for the fall harvest. It’s quite “fall like” these days. The high only hits 14° today with a few showers by pm. A cool east wind 15-30 will add to the chill. Low 8°. Showery/cool weather persists Thurs/Fri.
