With many parents earning below the poverty datum line, the immense pressure on university students to secure a degree at any cost contributes to a vulnerable environment where these issues thrive.

Sad reality about sexual harassment and GBV in Zimbabwean tertiary institutions is that the economic conditions in Zimbabwe are the main cause. Most parents in Zim earn below the poverty datum line and because of this the university child is doing anything to become a graduate 💔
