Albino or fully leucistic Western Yellow Wagtail this morning near Yavne, Israel. Digiscoped from a distance through SWAROVSKI OPTIK ATX85
Meet Chalamish, or C114 yellow. This handsome male MacQueen's Bustard was GPS-tagged in 2022 by רשות הטבע והגנים in the western Negev, very close to the Egyptian border. Yesterday, Meidad and me found it with another three bustards in fields not far from where it had been tagged.
Jonathan Meyrav and me fooling around at the Senegal Thick-knee site. Introducing Yonatan Gordon and Uri Laor the finders
This morning during work in Maagan Michael I spotted this colour-ringed Ringed Plover. It had been ringed nearby by Yosef Kiat in October 2013! With foreign ringing recoveries coming from NE Asia, it is mindboggling to imagine the journeys this bird may have taken during its life
Wait for it + volume up Blue-cheeked Bee-eaters with little transitiva friends (how red they are!) this morning in Kfar Ruppin at our restoration site. Lots of flying insects for food. Digiscoped through SWAROVSKI OPTIK ATX85

A wonderfully poignant article by Piki Ish-Shalom about Sooty Falcons and their place in these troubled times, with beautiful photos, too. Five mins of your time very well spent, here: birds.org.il/en/article/soo…
