This Sharp-tailed Sandpiper was recently spotted at Wapato Lake NWR in late Sept. They are usually found in the marshes & mudflats of eastern Russia/northern Mongolia during their breeding season, migrating thousands of miles to winter in places like Australia and New Zealand.

For this #EverythingButTheBirdFriday, we are spotlighting the Zebra Jumping Spider! They can leap up to 10 times their body length - that’s like a human jumping the length of a school bus! They can also communicate silently through vibrational signals called "seismic sounds."
