The Solitary Sandpiper, La Societe Guernesiaise reserve Pre d'Enfer Guernsey, Bailiwick Islands this afternoon.

A Little Bunting was ringed by the ABO team this morning, an immaculate adult male. only the 2nd island record.

A very interesting Wagtail this afternoon on Longis Bay Alderney (in company with a Yellow Wagtail) first impressions were that it showed partial albinism, but it appears that it may well be Motacilla alba leucopsis.

Red-backed Shrike - ringed today by the ABO team along with 2 Spotted Flycatchers, Grey Wagtail, 2 Siskins & over 50 House Martins.

Our first Yellow-browed Warbler of the year this morning.

A Pied Crow was seen at 1625 hours at Braye Harbour, excellent views were obtained, the bird flew inland and is being searched for. Almost certainly the same individual reported from our neighbouring island Guernsey this morning.

One of two Zitting Cisticola ringed in Alderney this afternoon, another successful season (2 breeding pairs) for this species again here this year. Yellow-browed Warbler also ringed today.

Our local pelagic produced Alderney's first Great Shearwater record in almost 30yrs, 12 Sooty Shearwaters, hundreds of Balearics and Manx. Also Great & Arctic Skuas, 8 Black Terns, several feeding frenzies of Blue fin Tuna, a dozen Common Dolphins and a Sun Fish. Image Grt Shear.

Following another successful breeding season for our Zitting Cisticola it was interesting to encounter one this morning more than half a mile from this year's breeding territory.

Leucistic Swallow amongst the hirundine roost last night after approx 2500 Swallows passed through the island yesterday.
