Looks like this Chaco tortoise (Chelonoidis chilensis) needs a bath! 🛁 Found in Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay, this large tortoise species is vulnerable to extinction due to habitat loss and the illegal collection of them for the pet trade.

After 2 unsuccessful trapping attempts we stopped and asked a toad for directions to the turtles and caught 9 painted turtles! So when in doubt, ask a toad for directions 😉🐢🐸
