Amazing crowds for Day 2 of the FirefighterChallenge. Day 2 saw 2 colleagues from Grantham Fire Station FF Atkin and FF Wishart who both did incredible and did Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue proud!

Since around 4am this morning, our control room have taken 146 calls to flood incidents. This included 14 calls to incidents of stranded drivers in flood water and 53 calls to flooding inside properties. Our crews have been supporting communities across the county… 1/2

…pumping out water where possible and helping people to safety.This has included the south of the county from Allington to Billingborough, in the Manby and Legbourne area, Sturton by Stow and Cherry Willingham. Please take care on the roads where standing water is hazardous.2/2

Billingborough Fire Station's Charity Car Wash raising money for the Fire Fighters Charity is THIS SUNDAY - 10am to 2pm. Help Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue with their Countywide Car Wash this month.

Yesterday at 18.39, we stood like many other stations in Lincolnshire and across the country, to mark 1 week since the time of the 1st Call for the Bicester Motion Fire in Oxfordshire, where we lost 2 Brave Firefighter from the Firefighter Family in the UK

19:44 - Crews from Billingborough LFR , Kirton Fire Station & Donington Community Fire Station attended Hillcrest Gardens, Swineshead where a garage was on fire. 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reels and 2 thermal imaging cameras were used to extinguish the fire.
