With a 100% healthy Joel Embiid the Sixers win this series easily.

With a 50% Joel Embiid the Sixers have a decent chance if they get more from their supporting cast than they got in Game 1.

I trust Nick Nurse but I really wish in these last 2 minutes he would sit Tobias Harris and get Batum on the floor.

Don’t look now but Phillies SS Trea Turner is batting .353 and is top 10 in MLB.

Through three quarters the Sixers are a plus 19 with Joel Embiid and a minus 16 without.

If Sixers fans cheered like this at an injury to a star player, it would be posted on every national media page about how bad Philly fans are. But nothing to see here. Stay classy Knicks fans.

Joel Embiid could very easily have told the Sixers he didn’t feel comfortable going back on the court. He didn’t. He’s out there trying to win Game 1 of the Round 1 Series against the Knicks.

I have a lot of respect for the big man!

The Sixers only scored 6 points in the 8 minutes of Q2 without Joel Embiid on the court. Someone else has to step up.

And please be ok Joel. We can’t deal with this again!

Joel Embiid Q1 stats:

Played all 12 mins. 5/9 with 15 points. 3 rebounds (2 offensive), 2 assists and only 1 turnover.

And Hartenstein complained before the game that Embiid will be looking for fouls. Stop. You are mugging the man.

It’s early obviously but the Sixers came to play! The moment doesn’t look too big for them like it did early against the Heat. Keep it going!
