New toys from my docs. The steroid I’m taking for chemo has raised my blood sugar. Now the guy who hates needles has to poke himself 2x a day & then give himself a shot (actually a pen injection; needle’s not very long). 🙂 #CancerSux #ChemoSuxEvenMore #GetYourColonoscopy

10 chemo sessions down, 2 to go. Good news and not-as-good news; CT scan showed 1 tumor had shrunk, but other 3 were unchanged. Closer to a date for surgery; maybe late Sept. Handful of ‘fun’ tests before then, including another MRI. #CancerSux #GetYourColonoscopy #BeatItOnce

Met with surgeons who mapped out my Oct 17 surgery. Unfortunately they also told me the cancer was now in each of my lungs. Plan is colon surgery, rehab, & when well enough, radiation for lungs. My plan is to stay positive and keep taking things one day at a time. #CancerSux

Sharon just shared this pix with me. Doing much better now. Still in hospital, then a rehab center starting early next week. Will share more when I get more strength Big thing is docs got all the cancer. Thanks for your prayers

Biopsy results came Wednesday. Cancer spread from Colon to Liver. Surreal moment but he gave me two years (depending on treatment ). I actually felt bad for the doc; he was so apologetic. Hopefully I can outlive the prediction and make them good years Thanks for your prayers 🙂

After 8 weeks of hospitalization (because of various small medical problems), I’m finally home! Tons of follow up appointments to come (including chemo starting the 27th), but at least I’ll be going to ‘em from HOME! Thanks to everyone who reached out to me! I’ve appreciated it.

Good news. Chest pains were just chemo-induced muscle spasms. No permanent damage. Can be controlled by meds. Had two episodes during my couple of nights in the hospital so docs got a good look. Back home now. #CancerSux #GetAColonoscopy
